Eilleen Attard Bason Esteban
Executive Director

Eilleen Attard Bason Esteban is the Executive Director and co-founder of IAIS, leading the organisation’s
project development, partnership-building, EU-funded programmes and day-to-day implementation. She has
over eight years of direct experience in Erasmus+ and European Union-funded projects, covering needs
assessment, grant writing, partner coordination, participant management, delivery supervision, monitoring,
dissemination, finance oversight and reporting. Her work focuses on youth empowerment, migrant inclusion,
integration, sustainability, democratic participation and civil society cooperation. Eilleen has a Bachelor’s
Degree in Legal Management, a Diploma in Strategic Marketing Management, a Certificate in International
Labour Migration from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Migration, Mobility and Development from
SOAS University of London; this supports her evidence-based and socially responsive approach to project
design. She also brings more than 10 years of corporate experience and over 20 years of non-profit
leadership and volunteering. For IAIS, she provides strategic direction, senior leadership in EU-funded
project management, EU funding strategy, migration-focused programming and international partnership
development.
