IAIS Got Invited to “NO HATE SPEECH WEEK” by the Council of Europe’s Anti-Discrimination Department, in partnership with the EU-CoE Joint Project and supported by the Maltese Presidency of the Council
No Hate Speech Week 2025
IAIS Malta participated in No Hate Speech Week 2025 in Strasbourg, an initiative organized by the Council of Europe’s Anti-Discrimination Department, in partnership with the EU-CoE Joint Project and supported by the Maltese Presidency of the Council of Europe.
The 2025 theme, “Enhancing legal and non-legal measures against hate speech through a multi-stakeholder approach,” brought together experts, policymakers, civil society organizations, national authorities, equality bodies, academia, international organizations, and other stakeholders from across Europe.
The event provided an important platform for sharing good practices, exploring innovative approaches to combating hate speech, and strengthening cooperation among different sectors.
IAIS contributed to these discussions by promoting inclusive, rights-based approaches to preventing and addressing hate speech. The organization also expressed appreciation to the Maltese Presidency of the Council of Europe for the invitation and support.
